This year (2022), a lot of my time has been spent working with students on creating their own work -- new healing techniques, spiritual classes, books, etc.

This is an interesting transition as last year (2021), most of my time was spent teaching students existing work that either I had developed on my own, or that I had learnt from someone else.

Increasingly, people are showing up who are here to be innovators in whatever fields they are in -- rather than franchisers, replicators, or guardians of existing work.

Signs that You Are Here to Innovate

Are you here to innovate your own unique work - to create your 'only-you' signature offering to the world?

The innovators I meet have a number of things in common. Here are some signs that you might be here to innovate:

• Existing things don't fit you. You you might think they are wonderful, but they're like nice clothes that don't fit.
• You love the work you've learnt from other people, but _______ (fill in the blank).
• Existing communities or spiritual lineages feel extremely restrictive for you. You honour groups you're a part of but you're not in 100% alignment with them - in fact, some things feel off.
• You're creative. Artwork or songs easily burst forth from you. New ways of doing things easily occur to you and work well.
• You automatically express "standard things" in new ways. For example, you learn Reiki, then come up with an entirely new way of teaching it -- perhaps activating other people via artwork or song.
• You don't feel particularly motivated to cut and paste stuff developed by other people, good as it might be. 

The Spirit of the Times

The rise of innovators and black sheep is in keeping with the spirit of the times.

In a descension cycle where consciousness on the planet is falling, the primary role of spiritual lineages (and perhaps any kind of community) is to guard the purity of information and wisdom inherited from people who lived in previous times when consciousness was higher. True spiritual lineages will insist on strict standards. Tradition is respected because you don't know any better than your ancestors, despite what you might think. Deviants are punished and excommunicated. You constantly hark back to the good old days, and with good reason -- because the old days were indeed more golden with higher consciousness.

In an ascension cycle where consciousness on the planet is rising, your job is to innovate by standing on the shoulders of those who came before you, the proverbial 'standing on the shoulders of giants'. On some matters, you do have new wisdom to add to that of existing traditions. More people will find that they can't 'get with the program' because they have genuine new insights that don't fit with what they've been taught, that don't fit within the standard-form boxes constructed originally for the protection of truth and wisdom during the previous descension cycles. 

We are at the beginning of an ascension cycle right now, which started since 2012.

Is there any surprise that so many people are waking up to their unique gifts and starting to create things of greater sophistication, complexity and value?

Be prepared for an exciting array of new creations in every single imaginable field pouring out on the world in the years to come!
